Chinese authorities are preparing to shoot down an Unidentified Flying Object over eastern Shandong Province. According to the Global Times newspaper, authorities were preparing to shoot the object down and warned fishermen in the area.

This comes after two unidentified objects were shot down in the skies over Alaska and Canada by U.S. fighter jets. These objects were reported to be cylindrical (tic-tac?) in shape.

From the Global Times on Twitter: "Local maritime authorities in East China's Shandong Province announced on Sunday that they had spotted an unidentified flying object in waters near the coastal city of Rizhao in the province and were preparing to shoot it down, reminding fishermen to be safe via messages."
