The official shift created the pattern that still fuels suspicion today - initial disclosure, abrupt retraction, and decades of competing narratives. Later explanations stated the debris was from Project Mogul, a classified balloon operation designed to detect Soviet nuclear tests. While some accepted the balloon theory there was still no explanation of witness claims about unusual materials, secrecy, and alleged bodies.

2. The Kenneth Arnold Sighting, 1947

Zamora was widely regarded as reliable, and investigators found physical traces at the site, including burned brush and impressions in the ground. J.
