Viral! Did ETs Turn People to Stone in Russia?

By Faun Grey

A recently declassified CIA document has sparked widespread interest due to its extraordinary claims about a UFO encounter with Soviet military personnel.

The document was made public in May 2000, and details findings from both Canadian Weekly World News and Ukraine's Holos Ukrayiny newspaper. The intriguing document

The document recounts a startling incident where Soviet military forces allegedly faced retaliation from extraterrestrial beings after shooting down above their military installation.

According to the report, the alien beings emerged from their crashed vessel, mysteriously merged into a single entity, and released an intense light that transformed nearly all soldiers present into stone, sparing only two.

A, who remained anonymous, expressed serious concern in the report: "Should the KGB documentation prove accurate, this represents an incredibly dangerous situation. These extraterrestrial beings possess technological capabilities far beyond our current understanding. They've demonstrated their ability to defend themselves when threatened."

The incident reportedly occurred between 1989 and 1990, with initial publication in Canadian Weekly World News dating back to 1993.

The intelligence document reveals that U.S. sources confirmed reports of a "disc-shaped craft flying at low altitude" over Soviet forces during their training exercises. The report states that military personnel, "for reasons unknown," launched an anti-aircraft missile at the mysterious craft, forcing it to crash near their base.

The document describes the emergence of "five diminutive humanoid beings with 'oversized heads and large black eyes'" from the crashed vessel. These beings reportedly merged into a "unified entity," generating a powerful humming sound. This spherical formation then allegedly produced an intensely bright flash.

According to witness accounts, the mysterious light instantly transformed 23 soldiers into "stone-like pillars." Two servicemen reportedly survived because they were sheltered from the light's direct exposure in a shadowed area.

The report indicates that the "petrified remains" of the soldiers and the spacecraft wreckage were transported to a classified research facility. Scientists discovered that the molecular composition of the affected soldiers matched limestone characteristics. The document suggests that researchers attribute this transformation to an "energy source" currently unknown to human science.

While the exact origin of the document remains uncertain, it appears to have been sourced from either a telegram or other publicly accessible intelligence channels.

Nevertheless, former CIA operative Mike Baker maintains a skeptical stance regarding the extraordinary assertions contained within the report.

"When examining any incident, regardless of its specific nature, I believe the original documentation likely bears little resemblance to what we're seeing now after multiple iterations of the initial report," Baker explained in his conversation with Fox News Digital.

In 2020, the establishment of an Unidentified Aerial Phenomena Task Force (UAPTF), designed specifically to "detect, analyze and catalog" unexplained aerial objects that might pose potential threats to national security.

This initiative follows numerous governmental investigations into mysterious aircraft sightings. While UFOs commonly evoke thoughts of extraterrestrial visitors, Baker emphasizes that officials must investigate unidentified objects primarily as a matter of national security

"The Pentagon's stance is clear: when pilots encounter something they cannot readily identify during flight, it becomes a national security imperative to document and investigate these occurrences," Baker elaborated to Fox News Digital. "There's sound reasoning behind having systematic investigation protocols. This isn't necessarily about hunting alien spacecraft, though that's often where public speculation leads when such incidents surface."

Fox News Digital's request for comment from the Pentagon remained unanswered.

In a significant development earlier this year, authorized the declassification of decades-worth of government UFO files, potentially exposing federal secrets and addressing speculation about possible "cover-ups."

"Many believe there's definitive evidence hidden within these files," former U.K. Defense Ministry official and UFO specialist Nick Pope . "There's a widespread conviction that certain elements within the U.S. intelligence community possess concrete evidence of extraterrestrial activity, along with corresponding documentation. This, naturally, is what everyone is eager to discover. It's the ultimate question worth asking." shared with Fox News Digital

Regarding the sensational claims about a Soviet-era extraterrestrial incursion and subsequent military response, Baker maintains his skepticism.

"While I believe there could be something beyond Earth," Baker remarked, "I find it highly improbable that aliens landed during the Soviet era, transformed their military personnel into limestone, and this information is only emerging now."
